The International Conference on Interdisciplinarity in Education ICIE 2007 is a major annual international conference, focused on innovations that improve engineering, computer technology and applied science education (ECTAS). It is an ideal forum for sharing new ideas, learning about new developments in education and interacting with scientists worldwide.
The higher education faces significant challenges in crossing international, cultural, and social borders in order to expand the pool of those entering ECTAS education and prepare the graduates to be successful in the global economy with diverse groups of people. Successfully addressing these issues will require innovative solutions including use of new pedagogical methods and approaches that improve student learning, partnerships among academia, industry, government, educators and curricular reform.
In March 2007, in the city of Athens, the Steering Committee of the 3 rd International Conference on Interdisciplinarity in Education is inviting full papers that address issues related to how the higher education can identify and surmount international, cultural and social borders. The ICIE 2007 Technical Program will include plenary meeting, paper presentations, special sessions, workshops and evaluation board meeting. Contributions are being solicited for scientific results as well as works-in-progress. Proposals also are invited for special sessions and workshops. |
